Hey everybody. We finally got back online today. We are still waiting for our case to be decided on. it was transferred from Athens to Rome in December. It is currently awaiting adjudication. That is what the website is saying. Anybody have any idea how long it takes for a case to recieve adjudication in Rome? Anyway. Good luck to everyone. Hope you had nice holidays and will soon be reunited with your families.

Welcome back
Rome is about 7 months behind now....they should be working on June very soon this month or at the worst cast scenario in Feb.
Good Luck...

I do not know why, but I thought that your case was approved...

Hopeful...

Unfortunately, when Athens transfers a case to Rome, Rome does not count the time that the waiver spent in Athens. My husband's waiver sat in Athens for 8 months before they sent it to Rome, and then Rome took 7 more months to adjudicate it (fortunately, it was approved!!). I'd say, if your application was received by Rome in December, you're looking at June - July before a decision is reached. Here's hoping 2008 is a blessed one for your family!

the website said it is currently being adjudicated. that means i might have to wait seven months for them to reach a decision? that is a really long wait.

Most likely, yes. My husband's case was "ready for adjudication" on their website for 7 months.

Yes, it is a long wait. As we all know, patience is definitely required for this process.
