Hello,
I was wondering if anyone out there has had there I-160 from London approved after having been denied for a criminal record? My fiance was denied his fiance visa because of a criminal record. I would love any tips for his hardship and rehabilitation letter.

What was his criminal record? There are some crimes that prevent an alien from obtaining a visa.

He has two assault charges (stupid bar fist fights) One was nine years ago and one was eleven years ago.

You may want to browse the I-601 forum as there are some members that have had approvals in Mexico with criminal background...not sure if they were first denied or not though.

I thought there was one from the old site- but I can't remember who.
Pinkpig's spreadsheet might be able to tell you...

and not approved or denied because not submitted yet(very soon). But I PM'd you if you want to know details of my letters (haven't posted them on the forum yet). The assault charges in your fiance's case were considered CIMT? (assault is not always a CIMT, depends on circumstances).

Welcome Fell - I think there have been people approved for similar situations. Read the approved letters in this part of the forum and the other sticky posts.
Start thinking about what you can use to argue that you will suffer extreme hardship if your fiance is not allowed to come to the U.S. for 10 years. London isn't that difficult for waivers...

My husband's waiver was approved in London last year. CIMT was receiving stolen property.
