Anyone know if it is better to send photocopies or original documents with the I-129? I am sending tickets and receipts to show that we have met within the past two years, should I photocopy them or send the original? I made doubles of the photos, etc.
Also any advice on how to "package" this whole thing? Staples, paperclips, holepunches.....any other tips?

Hi Mishu,
I sent copies of my plane tickets and receipts. I hole punched the top of my document and place it in a folder that had the clasps at the top. I used visajourney.com to prepare my I-129F. You can also do a search on VJ for preparing the package. It was really helpful for me.

You only have to send photocopies of everything at this stage. Keep the originals safe.
Guide to Filing the I-129F Fiancé(e) Petition (http://www.familybasedimmigration.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13) You will also find tips on assembling your package and other information relating to filing the I-129F petition.

That is fantastic...exactly what I was looking for. I guess I am just nervous about preparing the petition without a lawyer. I want to make sure I get everything right....

mishu, don't worry you'll do fine. Remember some lawyers don't get it right either.

All I can say is read read read, any questions ask the people on here, they really help at and is good for someone to talk to that is going through the same process and research everything you can, I wish I had when I started, if you think you have enough, send a little extra more, but good luck!!
