I don't know if someone posted this (sorry, if it's a double post), but I read it in the paper the other day. I found it interesting...

Wow, interesting article. What through me off was this quote:

"The woman, Tsomorlig Batjargal, 21, was convicted of immigration fraud for obtaining a driver's license in Washington state when Virginia would not renew hers because she was not a legal resident."

How would this be considered immigration fraud? I tought that, for now, the DMV of Washington State is not requiring documentation to prove legal status in order to obtain a license. Has that changed?

It might be fraud because she probably had to claim that she was living in Washington State in order to obtain a driver's license from there. However, it wasn't immigration fraud unless she provided fake documents or falsely claimed a certain status.

As far as giving her expensive gifts and "perks", that's not unusual. Sounds like your typical sugar daddy.

"Gullette said Miner and Batjargal are engaged, but the relationship might end if she is deported.

"I doubt that Lloyd will follow her to Mongolia," he said."
Funny...he knows the laws better than this, maybe we'll find him on I2US LOL :)
