So, my husband has a friend that was approved in Honduras back in January of this year. They turned in the waiver in June/July of 2006. Well anyway, according to his friend, he says they only turned in a one-page letter and some photos of him and his wife for the I-601 and they got approved.

They didn't even know about the waiver until they had their interview in TGU.

This sounds like it really could NOT happen. I mean, unless the adjudicator just didn't even look at it, but this sounds too good to be true type of thing.

What do y'all think?

a poorly done waiver may sometimes go through (we don't know what the adjudicators are or what they're thinking) but it sure isn't something to take a chance on!

I'm not willing to take a chance. It's just that it gave me a lot of hope since my husband will be filing through Honduras too. It made me think that maybe Honduras is extremely lenient with the extreme hardship thing.

What's really crazy is that after his waiver got approved, he came back to the U.S. and him and his wife decided to divorce. They were married for four years. Sounds kinda fishy to me, but only they know.

WOW, it is hard to say, I hope that Honduras is lenient! It seems like we have been getting alot approvals out of there!

with the one-page letter anyway. So maybe they have some lenient adjudicators there. Good luck!

Sounds wierd to me too, Klame... But if they're lenient in TGU that is good to know. Good Luck to those of us going through Honduras.

You never know.. has anyone from this site been denied through Honduras? Maybe they are like CDJ used to be... I don't think we have enough information to know. Definitely should make you feel confident about putting together a really good waiver!

My friend has the same experience. he filed in a page waiver, but that was far back in 2004 through Ghana for I-601. But i wont advise for that this time around.

Same here. Husband's cousin's letter for CDJ was 1 and 1/2 pages almost 3 threes. Definately wouldnt fly now.
