I just got a call from my lawyer telling me that the court and the trial attorney waived my court appearance for the 20th Dec...my lawyer wanted this because my I-130 wasn't approved and the court would have just put it off for another date and i would have have to travel all the way to Texas (am in FL) and that would have been a waste of money for a ticket and hote..am so happy..

Congrats!!! So you don't have to go now. I guess you'll have to go later on, right? But you have more time. As long as you're happy I say 'Congrats!!'

Hey Caribbeanman, that does leave a little more jingle of coins in your pocket, eh?

I was thinking about the financial situation and thought it's not only great about waiving it but the financial part is so gooood! That makes you feel better during this time of holiday. It would make me feel better no matter what time of year it is!!

Isn't it a great feeling to be able to relax a little?

Well aprilstorm am not happy with having more time because i want the court to move on with the master hearing so that i can move to the next stage and that's the individual hearing but that can't be done unless the I-130 is approved but what am happy about is not having to spend all that money to go to TX only to have the Judge reschdule the case for another date because of the I-130.

Caribbeanman - I just saw this thread - and almost told you earlier tonight 'good luck this thursday' - but I see that your luck came in a few days earlier. :D

Congrats on this little victory. Hopefully you will see forward progress in your case soon though and you can finally get that I130 approved!!!

Ok guys i got a call from my lawyer this morning and he told me what had took place at my court hearing (He still had to appear even though my appearance was waived) the judge issued an order to ADMINISTRATIVELY CLOSE THE CASE AND BE CONSIDERED NO LONGER PENDING BEFORE THE IMMIGRATION JUDGE FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON :RESPONDENT HAS I-130 PENDING..WHOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!...so what this means is that i don't have to go back to Texas for the judge to reschdule the case over and over again due to the I-130 not being approved,ONLY when it's approved then my lawyer will have to inform the judge and he will then set a date for my green card hearing!!!!!!:bounce::thumbup::D...praise the lord.
