Pabliski - just so you know, you won't get an I-601 in the mail, nor do you mail it in. I think the next step will be the appointment letter from CDJ.

Once in CDJ you'll have the visa interview, where you will be denied for unlawful presence, and then they will tell you you are eligible for the I-601 waiver (unless you have medical inadmissibilities, some serious criminal record or have ever left and re-entered the U.S. - I'm assuming no to all those).

By the time you go to CDJ you will already have the I-601 and your hardship packet together and hopefully an Infopass appointment to submit the waiver. At the waiver/Infopass appointment you'll submit the I-601 and your hardship evidence and hopefully be found "clearly approvable" and get your visa the same day. If you're not "clearly approvable" you'll have to wait outside the U.S. until they adjudicate your waiver.

Yes, I know we are waiting for this appointment. However, I had no idea about the info-pass. Thank you.
