I am watching World News and just saw this story about Congo the dog who bit a gardener working at its owners home this past summer.
Now it has become an immigration debate. The man is an illegal immigrant from Honduras...
The owners of the dog say they are very upset that people have turned it into an immigration debate.
But I guess there are websites bashing this poor guys, including these lovely quotes: '“The dog deserves an award,” said one posting to The Princeton Packet Web site. “One less Mexican alien is a boost to society.”'
:bang::angry: people are monsters

the whole thing is just sad because it's getting away from the real case and turned into a circus
It just goes to show how silly some Americans can be. Sometimes I think that the only people who are considered illegal is Mexicans. Nobody else crosses the boarder illegal now do they!!

i want to know the opinion of must of you...why is so much hate against central americans and mexicans where you live?????, you should be asking why i am asking this???. i live in miami , i am a cuban born and excluding a very few, cubans are not treated that way here by the rest of the sociaty ( non cubans), i know that, for example in miami we are the mayority but i dont see that happening with severity in the rest of florida where there are not that many cubans,but on the contrary i see that happening where mexicans and central americans born are the vast mayority.and the last question and the most complecated, cubans are the only nationality that if we touch united states soil have the constitutional right to remain here and we cant be deported but not only that after a year and 1 day we have the right to apply for permanent resident status and most of the time it is granted with no complicatons. we, compared to mexican nationals are extremely outnumbered by millions, why the united states goverment do not apply to mexicans lets say ,a similar law, i know there is a border and the country next door,the political power and influence of mexicans is huge compare to cubans and still are treated like the worst that is happening to the united states, WHY THE UNITED STATES MAKES A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN US???????. WHY 20 MILLIONS OF MEXICANS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FORCE A LAW AND MAKE IT APROVED BY CONGRESS??? i just want to know what you think, been must of you from or related to the country in question

That's the thing. So many people assume that every dark skinned worker with an accent is Mexican, that ALL illegal immigrants are Mexican, and that everyone speaking Spanish is Mexican, and it bothers me so so much.
My sister even had the gall to complain to me one day about how so many people where she lives in Florida "only speak Mexican!" I wanted to slap her. I couldn't believe she would say something like that.
I don't know... These people just make me want to scream.

I know a lot of people who think that way. Especially the illegal immigrants are ruining this country. So I get smart with them and say, hey not all visa over stayers are bad. And they just look at me like what are you talking about. I say well you said illegal aliens are ruining this country. Now would you go talk to that cute little russian girl at the grocery store and label her an illegal alien? I bet you wouldn't, but I bet you a hundred bucks her visa has expired, making her "an illegal alien" :D Of course after that they get the open mouth insert foot look and I just go on about my business.
bunch of jerks
oh there was this place I used to karaoke at and this older man would always say, "hey sing that song you sing in Mexican". I guess you can't learn everyone. :)

How irritating is this?!!? What is it with these people? Just like you guys I too want to bash them in the face.
I also hate when people say "Mexican" like it's a different language. My mom even falls under this category a bit... she's always complaining "I don't mind them being here but they NEED to speak english. Why should we need to learn Mexican for them??!" Stupid comments like that. GRRR.

I think it is stupid that what happened has turned into an immigration debate. I did also read and saw on the tv that he had kicked the dog (which didn't surprise me) and for that reason I think the dog's life should be spared. The dog was in his yard and if the fact is true that this man did something to that dog then he got what he deserved.
As far as immigration I think that Mexicans don't truly have a voice and many who are here illegally would rather stay under the radar than expose themselves and risk possible deportation. For that reason I don't think that there has been any laws passed. Just my opinion though. And, I also think that everyone says Mexicans because they are the majority. As far as language. I do believe that everyone here should learn to at least have conversational English. I don't necessarily think it should be needed to enter but at least soon thereafter. Again, just a personal opinion.

i agree with you, i also see there is not a real and strong unity between people from mexico, either legal or illegal,i can't just understand how come there are like 20 million legal mexicans and can do nothing for their own countrymen, the mexican comunity have been sending the wrong message to the united states goverment, if they see that you dont mind for your own people ,they will never mind for you......we, the latinos tend to blame the us govermment for what is happening, and in some way if you make a deep reflection we have not been able to fully adapt to this sociaty, i have seen and heard hundreds saying that they dont need to speak english to live here, anyways it will be a neverending disscution the immigration issue, at the end i think we all swim troughout the current
