I Mailed Everything Today And Forgot To Send The Check!!!!!!!!!!! What Do I Do!!! I'm Leaving For 5 Weeks To To Europe And I'm At The Airport!!!someone Please Tell Me What I Have To Do. Can I Send Them The Check In A Different Envelope??

They will return the complete package to you due to lack of payment. Sending another check is not a good idea because the chances of the two packages meeting up are zero. :(

Kitkat is correct. Do not send a check off to them separately. Yes you can resubmit the same package. Just make sure that nothing has been removed (it shouldn't be), and resend it with the check.

From the Adjudicators Field Manual

(2) Screen for Applications and Petitions Which Must Be Rejected . No application form may be accepted for processing unless it is completed and signed and the proper fee submitted [See 8 CFR103.2(a) .]. If, subsequent to receipting, a check submitted for payment is returned as uncollectible, the receipt (priority) date is forfeited. Rejected applications receive an "R" or reject number in the CLAIMS tracking system. Because rejection occurs before completion of CLAIMS data entry, the system maintains only skeletal information concerning rejected applications and petitions. If a rejected application is later resubmitted, process the case as if it had never been submitted.

i am the stupidest person in this world. i really am. i cant even tell him....he has been waiting and now if i tell him what i did he will be crushed because i get back to new york end of august. i cant believe how stupid i am. do you guys know about how long will it take for the package to come back to me?

Don't feel bad ellinida, when I mailed our original I-129F I sent in the amount for the I-130 ($190 at the time, instead of the correct $170). They sent the whole packet back to me. I was even trying to explain to my wife their honesty for returning the extra $20, although it would have been great if they had just processed and kept it at the time.

Could you just re-submit the forms? You can copy the I-130 and the g-325 forms (for both of you) from the USCIS website, and make another copy of your BC and marriage cerificate. They will send the other packet back so I wouldn't worry about it. Thing is, it may take a month or longer!!

Dont worry, I forgot my check with the the I-130 and was so mad at myself..It came back about two weeks later in its exact form and I returned it with the check. Its frustrating, I know.

Don't worry. I think I'm the stupid one. My fiance's interview is on Thursday and I sent the packet on Friday. I guess I was tired because I forgot to ask how long it would take. So, I called back and the lady said 8-9 days. My fiance was so disappointed. Now, I'll have to reschedule the interview and ask for my I-129F petition to be extended. They stated that reschedules are in two months. And guess what??? Fees are going up on 07/30/07 and I am broke. Lesson learned and I'll never ever procrastinate again. God Help Me!!

Aquafria, is your interview for a K1? If so, there are no interview dates given. It's an open appointment - he goes when he is ready and has everything. Maybe you are talking about the infopass appointment? If so, maybe you could reschedule that?

Ellinda, couldn't you leave the check with someone and ask them to get your mail? When it comes back, they can simply repackage it with the check included and you won't lose all that time!

thank again guys..wow you made me feel so much better. i just got access to the internet and after so many days of being worried i feel a little better. i hope it comes back so i can put the check in. i checked on the postal website and they signed for the package yesterday, so lets see how long it takes to get it back.i guess with all my stress and getting everything together i forgot the easiest part. and now with the fees going up and all, this situation just sucks. but at this point i dont even care about the money i just want the package back because i havent told my baby anything about this cause i really dont want to bring him down :-(

Hopefully it won't take that long for them to return it. What service center are you going through? I guess if you don't have to tell him, don't. I know at this point people are trying to beat that 07/30 date, but when all is said and done the money is worth it, whatever the price. This is only the beginning, so hopefully from now on it'll be smooth sailing for you.

Well, it all worked out anyway. I emailed the embassy and they rescheduled his appt for 07/23 and stated for him to come in even if the packet hasn't arrived. They said they'll just reschedule him for four months later. I was really concerned because my petition expired on 06/23/07.

OK then that makes sense. You don't need an infopass appointment - that's for waivers in Ciudad Juarez. If the packet hasn't arrived, they can extend the petition -- just make sure they email you something in writing that they have done it.

aguafria,i'm going through the vermont service. but i was thinking that there are going to be alot of people that as you said are trying to beat the 7/30 so it might take longer for them to send it back.

ellinda, I went through the Vermont Service Center also. They are known for being speedy; you couldn't ask for a better center. So, while it may not be as fast, it probably beats the other centers by far.
