Newby, help please!

Hi my name is Carlos, I'm 17 and was brought to the US (Miami) by my parents four and half years ago. I entered the country with a B1/B2 visa and my father applied for political assylum but after 4 years it was denied. My father decided to go back to Colombia leaving me and my mother alone. Now I'm about to graduate from high school, I have no papers whatsoever, and can only go to a community college paying out of state tuition which isn't affordable for me as you can imagine (I can't work). I was hoping for the DREAMact to pass because I would definitely qualify, but since it's been turned down and won't be looked at again until 2009, I've been trying to look for a quick way to become legal since I will be turning 18 in 2 months. I know it is almost impossible to do that before turning 18, but at least sooner than 2009.
I've keeping up with the dream act forum and I saw the link for this website and well I'm sure you can figure out the rest of the story.

Any info or help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

I'm Sorry But There Is No Way To Become Legal For Now. I Hope The Dream Act Is Passed. The Only Thing That Could Happen If Someday You Fall In Love With A Us Citizen, Not For Papers Because Immigration Smells Phoney Marriages You Could Adjust Status Because You Entered Legal. Ask Your Mother For The Turist Visa And Keep Every Document That Proves You Entered Legal In The Country.

Hi Sfcp - What Aleful said is basically correct, unless you marry a US citizen you won't be able to adjust your status. It's good that you entered on a visa though, because as long as you never leave, if you do end up in a relationship with a USC you will be able to adjust your status in the U.S. without leaving and filing a waiver.
