Hi I'm new to this web site and have found this web site very useful and I am also in the appealing process and my hubby has been away for 2 yrs this December well the first time I turned in my hardship letter was in Dec 05, I did not send in nothing I did not go to a lawyer in the first place and my letter was not well done with no evidence, so my husband got denied in Nov 06 and I received an appeals notice so I went to a lawyer and did the whole hardship letter sent in Doctors notes and a physiological report and I also sent in my sisters doctors note because she has downsyndrom and I basically have done every thing for my sister because my mother does not speak english and my parents are old and have medical problem so I have a very stressing life along with what I am going threw I also have a 2 yr old son and I went to see my husband over the summer and found out I am pregnant with our second child it was not planned but things happen I have been suffering threw sever depression and know with the pregnancy it has gotten worse I have to much in my hands my mother is diabetic and has thyroid and cholesterol and high blood pressure etc. and she will soon be having a total knee surgery meaning her knee will be removed and she will have a new one but she will need home care and I am the only one that can care for her my father is the only one in our house hold that works and he cant miss work and my sister who has down syndrome cant care for her and I wanted to know if I can expedite my case with her surgery???? ???????????????:please:

You filed an appeal instead of refiling- unfortunately refiling is much quicker that the appeals process. In this case- I would call your Senator's office and ask to speak to the immigration liaison and see if they can help you.

The key is to call in to the switchboard and ask who the immigration liaison is and try to get them live and tell them your story.

Kenaly got an expedite for need of caring for relatives w/ health concerns- you may want to private message her to discuss. She is very helpful.

Good luck!

So far it is just a waiting game. I tried the senetor's office and the reply to the senetor from the embassy was that we have to wait like everyone else. Pregnant and depressed too! Sorry
