I am visiting my husband in JULY and I know that I will not be able to come back with out him.. Its just such a mental strain to be seperated from him over and over again that I am seriously thinking about moving close to the border but I have no clue on how I would get my life started their...

If someone can chime up and answer ALL of my questions that I have listed here most of them were directed at Stacey slvjm22000(i think that is her screen name) but her inbox was full....

Hi Stacey,

I have a couple of questions when you have a chance if you can help me out answering some of my thoughts.

As you know by my signature my husband was backlogged and am running in a tight budget of traveling back and forth to visit him that i was thinking of moving to CDJ with him I just dont see myself making it there but it sounds more attracting then moving to his Rancho.......

I was wondering;
1.How much is monthly rent
2.What can my husband work in and how much can he expect to get paid
3.If you live on this side of the border to you exchange your money to pesos every time you get paid
4.If you are doing this crossing the border everyday to live with your husband what type of work do you do at your job....How are you doing financially....How are your kids doing......IF you needed to do this process all over again would you move to the other side of the border all over again to be with your husband?

I know you probably dont want to give your life story to me and give me too much information but any type of info you can provide to me TRUST me I would appreciate it lots! Thank you in advance for your time!!!

My wife lives in El Paso and I stay here in CDJ today has been one year. Lot's of people live here in CDJ and work in El Paso. If you invest in the sentry pass you can avoid doing serious lines and it is a great investment. It acutally becomes a normal life after a while, if you can handle the separation you can defenetly handle seeing each other everyday. The city is relatively safe but if you look for trouble it will find you fast. If you keep to yourself u should not have a problem. I don't work so don't know how much people get paid. I would consider moving down here and spending time with ur family. Juarez can be a very nice place to be actually. Rent, u can get a nice naiborhood for about $300 dollars per month all utilites paid. You can get cheaper aswell. If u work in el paso you can make arrangements to cross your kids to school every day, I know people who do that. You can get a TXDL and drive in CDJ with Texas licence plates with no problems. You dont have to change your dollars to pesos since evryone accepts dollars or pesos here. Utilies are cheap. Good luck hopefully stacey will chime in soon. MariaandSimon are also here and they work here so they might be able to share some more info with you. Good Luck!
