Did the I-864 come with that form? If not that is what's next the Affidavit of Support. If it did come with it I believe all the rest of the information is just notice of interview and stuff like that. Others will chime in to let you know, but I think that there is also an OF form and one other, but I am not there in the process yet.

We received, in this order, the Choice of Agent, Affidavit of Support bill ($70), Visa Bill ($380), Affidavit of Support form (I-864), Visa Application (Part I of the DS-230). It took 3 months from the time our I-130 was approved to the time our case was forwarded to to the consulate (We returned everything right away). Good luck:)

Meesh has given you a great timeline. The choice of agent form you have is where you would put a lawyer if you wanted all your packets to go to them if not you put yourself. Then you get the Affidavit of Support and the rest like Meesh has said. Don't worry you are going to get the rest soon.

Meesh, did all of these forms come one-by-one? I just mailed my husband's Choice of Agent today and am wondering if the rest of these forms are going to come piecemeal and how long until I get the last one. Thanks!

I'm trying really hard to remember last summer. Seems like forever ago. I'll go check my old paperwork...
These are the dates on each of the packets they sent me: 7/3 (Choice of Agent/I-864 Fee), 7/17 (Visa Fee), 7/24(I-864), and 8/14(DS-230). On 8/30, they sent me a letter to review the information I had provided. Then, my case was forwarded on 9/22. Hope that helps:)

Once the NVC has received the approved petition and assigned a case number, they send the Visa Applicant (beneficiary) the DS-3032 Choice of Agent Form. At the same time they send the Petitioner the Affidavit of Support Bill and a copy of the DS-3032 Choice of Agent that was sent to the Visa Applicant (beneficiary).
The DS-3032 form permits the applicant to choose an “agent” to receive mailings from NVC and assist in the paperwork or paying of required fees. The agent can be the petitioner, an attorney, a friend or non-governmental or community-based organization. The agent cannot sign required documents for the applicant, but can assist with fee payments and document collection. The applicant is not required to choose an agent and may have all mailings sent to the Visa Applicant's (beneficiary) address abroad.
No Form DS-3032, Choice of Address and Agent, is required if a G-28 is received from DHS and the attorney is the agent.
You can save some time with the DS-3032 by emailing your Choice of Agent. See NVC Timesavers (http://www.familybasedimmigration.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48)
Once the NVC have received the Choice of Agent, they will send the IV Application Fee Bill to the Visa Applicant (beneficiary), the person elected as the Agent or to your lawyer if you have one.
Once NVC receive payment via the Affidavit of Support Bill, the NVC will send the Petitioner Packet to the petitioner. The Petitioner Packet includes the Form I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act, with instructions to be completed and returned to NVC.
Once NVC receives the payment via the IV Application Fee Bill, the NVC will mail the the Instruction Package for Immigrant Visa Applicants. This includes the DS-230 Immigrant Visa Application.
The NVC will then review the Forms DS-230, Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, and Form I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of The Act once they are returned to them. If there is anything missing or additional information needed they will send a checklist to the petitioner, agent or applicant indicating what changes are needed.
Once the background check is cleared, you will then be 'Case Complete'. Depending on the country you will be interviewing at, either NVC or the Consulate will schedule your interview.
If you were only required to submit DS-230 part I and a copy of the biographics page of your passport, the NVC will forward your case to the Consulate and the Consulate will schedule your interview.
If you were required to submit DS-230 parts I & II, plus all documents, etc., the NVC schedules your interview.
The 'Interview Packet' you will receive will contain your interview letter/date, medical instructions, etc.
See the NVC PROCESS & FLOWCHART (http://www.familybasedimmigration.com/forum/nvc.php) for an Immigrant Visa

Thanks Meesh and Aussie Wench - very helpful info. Question: I have not received the I-864 yet. We're only a few days out from when my husband received the Choice of Agent, so I'm not going to freak out just yet but it seems like these are supposed to arrive at around the same time, yes? At what point to I start to worry that I haven't received it?

I received the I-864 about 3 weeks after the Choice of Agent. If you are concerned, you can contact them by e-mail. I was worried about my DS-230, so I sent them an e-mail to find out if it had been sent. They responded right away. It actually arrived a day or two after I sent the e-mail. I guess I was a little paranoid...

Have you called the NVC Automated Voice Response Service? The AOS Bill and copy of the DS-3032 is sent to the petitioner at the same time the DS-3032 is sent to the beneficiary (now the applicant). Give it a few more days and then give NVC a call and speak to an operator by following the prompts.

I have a question what is a CDJ everybody use it but I don't know? And how soon did you get your Choice od agent and the rest from NVC after you got your approval? I just got my approval two days ago and received my 797 Notice of Action today via mail. So I am very exited and anxious what will be next.

CDJ is an acronym for Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
Congratulations on your approval. I have not gotten mine yet - so I can not answer your other questions - but hopefully someone else will jump in and be able to help. I have heard that they take 2-3 weeks - but again, its hearsay....maybe someone with actual experience can tell you.
Can I ask when you originally submitted your I130? How long did it take for the approval?

Approved petitions are sent to NVC in batches. It could take a week, or it could take 2-4 weeks to reach NVC and for your case number to be assigned. Once a case # is assigned NVC will then generate the DS-3032 Choice of Agent for the visa applicant/beneficiary, and the AOS Bill & a copy of the DS-3032 for the petitioner. The steps are layed out in this NVC Flowchart for Immigrant Visas (http://www.familybasedimmigration.com/forum/nvc.php)
Note the two paths with the NVC process.
Also have a look at the NVC Timesavers, Emailing your Choice of Agent, and Finding out your Case Number (http://www.familybasedimmigration.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48)

Hoppefuly you will get your approval soon too, we kind of not ready for further prosses, since we need prepared a Hardship letter and that takes almost 3 or 4 month. We hope to get everything ready as soon as we can. Thanks to this site I can at least check and see what to expect and get a little ahead.

Marina - what country are you filing through? Mexico?? Typically - after your case is completed at the NVC (which can take as little as 2-3 months, but as long as you want them too....depending on how quickly you send back the documents/fees they are requesting) it will be close to a year before you get your appt date. That should give you a good amount of time to put together an excellent waiver package!!! Good Luck!!

Marina - according to processing times on the visajourney website, I have been able to find out that when the beneficiary's country is Russia (as yours is) - if you are pursuing the K3 visa (I believe I noticed somewhere else that you filed the I129F - please correct me if I am wrong) - in the past 180 days, they have had 6 members go through the same process who have filled out their timelines. Based on those 6 records, the average time from when the consulate received the information from the NVC to when the first interview is scheduled was 58 days. (Just under 2 months from the looks of things).
Please remember that is just an average based on 6 records only. And it is for the K3. I am also still trying to 'learn' how the processing times work on that website. They take actual information from individuals cases and compile their own averages. Its just figuring out how to read them!
As you are aware - the process through the NVC can take as long as you'd like it too, if you feel you need more time to prepare.
I also hope that your experience there will be good - and will result in an approval!!
