As I said in another of my posts, I was about to get married to my bf, but we decided not to because he still doesn't have his degree and we don't feel ready for marriage.

So, my other option is going to Canada on a student visa, I have talked to Alexandra Fajardo www.alexandrafajardo.com (http://immigrate2us.net/forum/www.alexandrafajardo.com/) since she's dealing with my dad's case, he wants to immigrate through the job points-system since he has the experience, he just hasn't found an employer willing to hire him yet.

Since I'm past the age where I could immigrate with my family, I have to go in as a Student, she said to me that the first step would be to apply to the University of my choice, but I asked her to give me an estimate of how much money I would need since right now I can't work and my parents are counting with their retirement money (unless he gets a job offer then they can give me that money to pay for tuition, etc).

She was kinda rude to me and didn't really answer my question, does anyone know or has immigrated as a student to Canada? I know she said that you can work once you're there, I am thinking of going into Web and Graphic design since I'm pretty good at that and I could have a job on the side and at the same time adjust my permanent residency status, but I honestly have an issue with coming up with the money.

My other option is to go back to Mexico and apply from there, has anyone done this too?

I'm sort of confused and would really like to get any guidance anyone might have, also, if you have the name of a better consultant/lawyer I would greatly appreciate it, this lady was rude to me and I would prefer not to deal with her again if possible.

Al I can offer is that I ( I am the USC) lived in Canada for 7 years with my husband before we decided to move to the USA. Depending of where you are thinking of living be aware that it is quite expensive. Toronto and Montreal in particular are very pricey, so make sure that you have enough $$$ to get you started up there.
