dsgjklsdjgjsljsy I HATE BANK OF AMERICA!!!!
We usually just use my bank account for everything and my husband's account we usually forget about it.. well he used it like 5 times in 2 days not knowing it had gone negative.. and the thing I hate about bank of america is that they are gonna charge me like $35 + $35 + $65 + $65 + $65 that's like $300 dollars in fees I am SOOOOO mad I am angry at myself for not checking the account and also a tiny bit at my husband for using it so many times without checking it..

Anyone ever had any success with bargaining them down from all those fees??? I believe we've tried before with no luck.. and also the worst thing is we JUST sent the check for the I-130 YESTERDAY and if I had known I would have used my account and cancelled his..

First off: watch your language. I understand you are angry but there is no reason for that.

Secondly: that's what banks do. I dont think there are many banks that don't charge overdraft fees. YOu can ask them to remove them and they might. The worst thing they can say is no.

I recently changed to Bank of America and they've been great. I disputed one charge from a business and they refunded me the money the next business day.

I agree with Marie - I'm not sure I know of any bank that does not charge overdraft fees. I believe they are required to disclose the fees to you at the time you open the account. Normally this is done via mail.

You can try to negotiate with them about the fees - but remember, you get more bees with honey. :)

BOA's online banking gives you a constant running total - even including pending charges. I'm sorry this happened to you, but it is dependant upon you to keep track of the funds in the account to avoid such charges. Maybe using their free online banking will help in the future.

Bank of America will generlly refund one fee and only one. If these were in deed charges made from your check card then if you put the money in there while they are still pending they won't charge the fees but once the charges are posted you can only ask for one to be refunded.

I don't know about you all, but my husband and I have 2 accounts....we are both on each others but I pay all the bills and he pays for everything we need or food or whatever. I balance the checkbooks so I know what is going on....maybe its an option for you, then you won't have to worry about it in the future.

My husband is a bank manager, so I would recommend that you go down to the bank and explain your situation. My husbands saids that when it's the first time and if the person realizes they mest up and not blame it on the bank that he will reverse the fees. It all depends on who you get and what mood there in, so if the doesn't work call the phone bank and see if they can help. You might be able to get some removed, the worst that can happen is that they'll say no, but its worth a try.
