Hi all,
My fiance's interview is scheduled on 07/19/07 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The only problem I see is obtaining a police certificate. The documenation received stated to obtain certificates from all countries you have lived. I did a search on the net of the two places he lived (and had police involvement) and they both require information from him (i.e. SSN, copy of ID, signature, notarized request). One even suggested a 3 week response. Does anyone have any other ideas/suggestions on how to accomplish this in a reasonable amount of time.

BTW, we never received the interview packet (i129f approved 03/01/07), so I finally contacted my Congressional representative in early June. She made an inquiry and was told his interview was within a month.

Thank is advance.

if you can figure this one out, let me know! we still can't get my husband's...

but if you have written documentation that you have tried to get these records, they should either give you more time or they should try to get them for you.

thernand is filing thru honduras as well, maybe she'll pop in and help you out on this one.

best of luck!

Our daughter in law went to the consulate for the country where she needed the clearance from that was in her country. very confusing...hope this explains it better.

for example:

she lives in Brazil

she needed the clearance certificate from the country of Austria

so she went to the Austrian consulate in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and

filed out the paper work to apply for the clearance certificate

the Austrian consulate did the search to Vienna, Austria and then

she went back to the Austrian consulate in Rio and

they gave her the certificate then

we had to have it translated into English.

It was a fairly quick turn around. I am thinking about a week.

Have you looked at this site:

It was helpful for us.
