can anyone help me?
i have an expired F1 visa ( three years now). went to work and its really hard to get a decent job without paper. so i went back applying to universities again. got accepted to a PhD program with a new I20. complete with scholarship and fellowships ( total support plus stipends, free tuition, paid insurance).
still thinking if i should go but I dont want to be deported if they later find out that i have an expired visa or the immigration agents might just pick me up in the lab or in my class.
have anyone done this already?
i know one who is originally from NY got an I20 from a univ somewhere in florida for his PhD program also but has an expired visa. however after a year he stopped studying and he was never caught but still i want to know if anyone has done it and was able to finish the program.
