I found this article today stating that the mexican pop star Paulina Rubio and her husband were "possibly" denied US residency for testing positive to drug use :bounce:
They say that they both went to CDJ for their interview on Sep 13... funny, we were there that exact day for our infopass appt!
This article is in spanish (sorry) but overall it just states that she allegedly tested positive for marijuana, and he tested positive for éxtasis, cocaína y mariguana!
Anyway, let me know if you need further translation.

Here's the article: http://www.esmas.com/espectaculos/farandula/673348.html

I actually find this sort of hilarious... not sure why. But I'm glad they weren't admitted solely on the basis of their celebrity-ship!

The most interesting thing about this story is that their Attorney obviously had no clue about the medical exam! Marijuana, ecstasy AND cocaine? Wow, that sounds like quite a party....

It's so sad to say, but when I read about Amy Winehouse's recent...issues, the only thing I could think was that she had better not be waved right on through the immigration line! Not that I don't like some of her music or appreciate her talent, because I do. But I certainly won't appreciate it at all if a woman who has made a fortune off of wrecking her own life and those around her is handed a visa. Boy, that would burn me up if that slob got a visa.
