My wife just called and she just came back from the doctor’s office after having an ultrasound done…the doctor told her that she had a tumor and it needs to be removed surgically …
I just wanted to be with her during this time and do not have to wait for the stupid waiver … what can I do…I just do not know what to do….

You can try to expedite. We've had a few members attempt this. Can she enlist her local Senator or Congressman? I'm very sorry!

Sorry to hear about your wife's med. condition. :(

Expedite don't mean that you're able to "skip" the waiver. You still need to submit the waiver but include wife's condition medical report, the surgery, why you HAVE to be there NOW etc etc...

It's kinda like military expedite. One still need to submit the waiver but request an expedite with the ground of deployment/soon-to-be-deployed.

With THAT med. report, then you request expediting your waiver (I am assuming waiver is already with them). Ditto on Misty, Senator + medical hardship (ground for expediting) = may help expedite, expedite your waiver, kwim?..

All the best and keep us posted.

DEFINITELY call the senator for your wifes state, the congressional rep does not carry as much weight as a seantor will. I had my senator help with our expedite based on medical issues. If you can't get help for an expedite, then also try to get humanatarian parole so you can be with her for the surgery.

Hi Guys,
My wife got the doctor's report now, should we take it to the lawyer or try the Senator first? H E L P ????

My wife is saying that we have a lawyer and we might want the lawyer contact the senator for us...is that possible?

I would contact the senator myself if I were you. Just my opinion though.

I to would contact the senator yourselfs. My opionion is they will have more weight than your lawyer, plus my lawyer didn't get no response from email inquiry, where as my local senator did. And our waiver was approved the day after the congressman received an email back from Frankfurt.

Well if I were her, I would call there (not email) and 1st explain my medical condition and then what she wanted them to do for her. If they wont help, contact the local congressman and see if they will help. I just called my local congressman and explained my situation (I didn't expedite) and asked if they could send an inquiry on our behalf. The lady was very nice and willing to do that. It's part of their job to help with immigration matters. Best of luck to you!

I'm sorry to hear about your wife's condition. Did you try both Senators? If one is unhelpful, I would try the other. If you still have trouble, I'd contact the local congressman. Good luck! I hope you do get an expedite:)
