NVC contact if k3 is chosen over CR1

Has anyone here chosen to pursue the K3 instead of the CR1? I chose to pursue the K3 visa instead of waiting longer for the CR1 but dont know if I need to Contact the NVC and tell them we are not continuing with the CR1 because we received our K3 and have file AOS already.

We did both at the same time, which ever one came up first would have been the one that we would follow through on. Both were approved within 2 months of each other until the i-601 waiver issue came up. Took about 7 and 9 months for the approval of the I-129F and I-130 respectively.
