What are some exercises for the fat that grows on your back along your bra-strap area??

You know how we all have an area where fat loves to hang out? Well mine is my upper body... I have an upside down cone look going on. My belly and upper back gets fat. Not my lower back, I don't have a muffin top, but I have fat above my natural waist, on my back right around my armpit and bra-strap area.

Anyone know of some good exercises for this area???

You can't really exercise to target that area ... it's actually ''water weight". You pretty much have to drink water all the time (or at least 64 oz a day) and avoid sugars.

Of course exercise in general will diminish this areas of fat first.

I have this problem too. When I gain weight it all goes on my upper body, mostly my upper back.

I've found the best things are to really work on doing strength and weight exercises that tone your upper back, arms and shoulders.

Pushups, tricep dips, dead lights (but not with real heavy weights, maybe like 8 lbs in each hand), etc. I started doing a series of work-out videos by a trainer called Jari Love (not a porn star I promise) called Get Ripped which really work on your upper body. It was the best results I've seen in that area. It also helped my posture a lot.

I haven't been doing those since I've been in school and while I still keep my arms in shape, I can tell I don't have the same tone in my back as I did last year. I'm going to try and start them again after I have the baby....

Yes, it should go first, since it's the first place I get fat.. my stomach, I noticed a couple of weeks ago..and just this week my bras were feeling tight, and usually I can't feel my bra at all (thank you secret embrace ;))

Jari Love..lol Im going to google those exercises Laura

You can't target where you lose weight, but if you do intense toning stuff on your upper back, you will develop muscle and it will all look better.
