So instead of parking close to the front of a store; park toward the back and walk.

Instead of using the elevator; take the stairs. At my work we are on the fourth floor and I jog up the stairs...my legs are burning by the 3rd but I feel great! I've done it 2x today!

What other ideas do you have to incorporate more exercise into your day?

Buy hand weights and while you are on the phone, alternate hands and do as many reps of dumbell presses or curls as you can while you are on the call.

Take the stairs instead of the elevator is one I always here and I could surely use it with the amount of stairs it takes me to get to work from the train station - but I've managed to find all the escalators to replace stairs :-(.

One good piece of advice is to wear weights around the house. Those little leg velcro weights. You just go about your everyday business but you have the little weights strapped to your ankles (mostly at home, not in public lol), instant boost.

I'm a teacher, so I know this won't apply to certain other jobs.

I don't just sit unless I'm grading papers or something. I know a lot of teachers who will sit on a stool or on a table at the front of the classroom when having a descussion or going over homework. I try really hard to always be up walking around.

In an office job or something, stand up and walk around as you're reading something or talking on the phone.

Also, walk down to your colleague's office to tell them something rather than send an email when they are like 50 feet away. Even if they are on another floor of the building, walk up the stairs instead of calling or sending an email.
