Hi everyone, my husband and I are leaving the states soon to go to his visa interview, at which we will file the I212 waiver (not the I601 - he has less than 180 days illegal presence because his asylum case was pending this whole time). I'm TERRIFIED. I'm coming back without him, he bought a one-way ticket, and I don't know when I'm going to see him again. We have an excellent lawyer and a pretty thorough HSL + recommendations as to his good moral character etc, but we've left it too late to prepare for the interview properly! We're both tired and scared and under financial stress and I'm afraid we're gonna blow it.

I don't think I need advice about the legal details, I think I just need some concrete details about what that interview and filing process is going to be like. What do I need to bring to be totally prepared? How can we get ready for it? I think his country doesn't even allow me to be present at the interview, which scares me even more...

I need your support because nobody else gets it... Thank you

Sorry, I am not sure how things for Moscow. My husband is from Mexico. From what I hear they don't allow the spouses in for the interview in Mexico either. Good Luck, possibly someone has information for Moscow.

Hi...Best of luck to you and your husband

I'm not sure how the end result, but I had an asylum case before, but it was denied and they put me on order of supervision until I left the country. At the interview, I needed to file I212 and I601 (for overstayed only). I601 could be for overstay the visa, misrep, criminal and health problem.
Anyway, when I had my interviewed, my husband was called up at the end of my interview to let him know the decision of it. I'm not going thru Moscow nor Mexico.
