Just wanted to let everyone know that I just shipped something with DHL to Cuernavaca Morelos, and it got there in great condition! I was weary after hearing fed-ex nightmare stories of people's shipments being cut up and lost and things of that nature, so I interrogated the DHL man for 30 minutes and then sent a package with them, still very weary. He told me that they send more worldwide shipments than any other provider and that it is DHL the whole way, they do not hand it off to any other company to finish the delivery when it crosses the border... anyways, Hector went to pick it up yesterday and everything was fine! I sent documents, so nothing dutible, but my ss# was in there, and so was the co-sponser's, so I did not want that to be lost, and it wasn't. They ship to a ton of locations in Mexico, too, and it got there in 2 days, with online tracking the whole way. Hopefully someone will benefit from this post!

Thanks for the helpful information. I will keep it in mind when I'm in CDJ...Hopefully I won't need anything sent to us at the last minute, but it seems like anything can happen.

We use DHL a lot here in the Northeast. We use it at work too.

Good to know! I was just thinking about the shipping thread from the old board today. I know that products made in China get held up in customs and are a general pain in the butt, but does cutting the "Made in China" tag off help/work?

I'm not sure, but I'm curious... maybe clueless is a better word, but why is it a problem if you send things made in China to Mexico?? I mean, I've heard the stories (ratito's was probably the one.. thanks for replying by the way ratito ) but I don't get why... does Mexico not import anything from China?? Just wondering...
