Has any one sent in the MTR without sending the FEE at the same time? My attorney said that we did not have to send the FEE until they decided to reconsider. My Senator's office finally got ahold of someone and they agreed to expediate our MTR. I am now worried because I did not send the fee. My attorney still says we are okay. He said he did not send the fee right away in other MTR filings. I called my Senator's office on this and one of his aids got back to me saying that after calling around to many people she go the same answer trust your attorney because there are many different ways to file the MTR. I am excited for the news of the expediated case but I am worried about the fact that we did not send the fee. Should I send it now? Would they just keep it and deny me because I did not send it with the first MTR packet.

Did everyone who did an MTR send the fee's right away?

Let me know, thanks

When I sent my MTR I send together the payments, in my case for two waivers the I-601 and I-212 , meaning two payments. I think the amount was $385 for each.
I do not think they will denied i\you because you did not pay. That will not be a reason for denying it. I think if you get approved then you will ask to pay the fee anyway.
God bless you

Thanks, I hope that is the case. That is what my attorney has said and my Senator's office said not to worry as well. My Senator's office said that the Director of DHS said they would expedite my husbands case. She even faxed her whole file on him right away. Oh I hope this works and he is home soon.

Thanks,
