Anyone heard from VSC lately? I have been checking for a "touch" but so far nothing has changed since August 14. I know that some people never see any updates and get their NOA2, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had been "touched" lately.

We filed our I-129f on September 16, NOA1 dated September 18, touch on 10/3 -- whatever that might mean. Nothing since then.

What's funny is that Vermont used to be SO fast!! When we were going thru the service center phase, I was stuck at CSC for 128 days while Vermont people were breezing through in 3 weeks! Now even my 128 days at CSC seems short!
Things certainly have changed with the new filing procedures (as well as the influx of people trying to beat the fee increase). And its not been a change for the better...!

When I first started filling out the I-129F, I thought we were lucky to file at VSC. But after the fee increase deadline, the time started getting longer and longer. Now, I am getting a little anxious because I haven't seen any activity or heard anything. But I guess, I should be happy that I have more time to work on the HSL. ....

indeed, it's the fee increase. what i'm hoping is this: vermont is on 7/29 receipt dates and has been for about a month. once they get through that lump of people who filed to beat the 7/30 deadline, maybe they'll start going faster as i'm sure the # of apps tapered off after the fee increase. like if they get 500 on 7/29, 600 on 7/30 (i'm just pulling these numbers out of thin air, they're not representative of any reality), then maybe august 1 will be back down to like 50, or a lot less anyway.
i don't know if i described that well or not.

That is probably true....after the fee increase the number of applications probably dropped off a lot! So hopefully things will be speeding up.....

Yes, getting the 'fee increase backlog' cleared will certainly help but I still think they'll be processing many more applications than they did when I was in the service center; mainly because there are more people now who are under Vermont's jurisdiction.
I suspect that the days of getting NOA2s from Vermont in 3 weeks are long gone...!

i agree, but someone just got hers in 2 months. granted, she filed about 2 weeks before the fee increase...but goes to show that they are still processing old apps despite the backlog.
meanwhile, as i write this, it is the 2 month anniversary of the day i mailed my i-130. it irks me that if i had filed a month earlier, i'd have my NOA1 AND NOA2 by now...i don't even have the NOA1.

The approval times had climbed a bit for Vermont even before the fee increase. So I'm not surprised to hear about a 2 month approval (which would be up slightly from the 3 weeks or a month that I remember when I was at the service center). And yes - they should be processing old apps and approving them, as they should be processing as close to 'first come first serve' as possible.
But as we know, nothing is ever a perfect science with USCIS...!
The receipting backlog is a nightmare. I thought they were getting close to resolving it, but it sounds like there are still a few bumps if you are 2 months out and no NOA1. Yuck!!

i check online every day to see if my check has been cashed  first i heard they were asking people to wait 90 days for an NOA1, then i heard 15 weeks, which is 105 days...either way, i have at least another month to go. hoping it will be my christmas present...
