hello everyone! first posting I have been reading your threads for a while now. Thank you for all the good advice. husband entered the country illigally in 1990 at 17. He had some organization file some paperwork in like 1992. He was such a trusting soul.
still not sure what all was filed Anyhow he had a government issued social security # and work authorization from about 1992 to 2005. (based on asylum pending) authorization renewed each yr of coarse:shy::bounce:
I filed a petition for a visa in 2002 that was approved. advised not to complete the process from lawyers because he would have to depart from the country. Asylum turned down for lack of proof in filing in 2005
lawer files an incomplete request for protected status- husband picked up Aug2006 while paperwork was pending- husband deported in Sept 2006
protected status granted Oct2006-lawyer files for something that can't be filed- I fire lawyer send letter to reopen I130- I130 appears to be lost- what a journey!
