Hi everyone, I am new to the website. I just discovered you 3 days ago. My husband and I are traveling to CDJ on 10/13 for his Interview appt on 10/16. I am extremely nervous and scared. I have not been able to get an infopass appt since he rec'd his interview appt. This is very frustrating to me. I also found a lot of help from all of you with your hardship letters and experiences. You don't know how much help that everyone is giving here. Thank you very much! Now I don't feel so alone. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a hotel that I can make reservations on expedia before we leave??? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!:shy:

Ecobain:
You could post in on the site so that I2US users could help make weak parts in your letter stronger. Also, did you look at this thread re: HSL http://immigrate2us.net/forum/showthread.php?t=83.
Have you collected all the evidence to support your arguments in your HSL? Post your letter. I know that you stated that your hubby has his interview on the 16th, but I would still post it. There are so many users that could help.

Ecobian - You are leaving tomorrow and looking to reserve a hotel now? That might be tough. From what people are saying, CDJ is really busy right now, it might be hard to find somewhere. But good luck.
Have you written your hardship letter yet for your I-601? It's sort of alarming that you are asking if things will help with the I-601 when theoretically you should have all the materials you are going to submit with you when you leave tomorrow.
Anyway, the things you mentioned can help you with the waiver, but essentially, the waiver and all the materials that accompany it just have to prove that you will suffer extreme hardship were your husband barred from the U.S. for ten years. It sounds like you have been reading the approved letters, so keep that up and good luck. Let us know what happens when you return.

well i dont know if u want a hotel or one of the casas that rent out rooms. cdj has been very busy lately. i live right around the corner from the consulate and i see all the people walking to and waiting at the consulate it is so busy. there is a place where we first stayed at it is a house that rents out rooms. u can use the kitchen and it has 2 bathrooms and also has a living room for u to sit in. it is a nice place and the gentlemen that lives there is a wonderful person. we stayed there with our 4 kids and he always talked and played with the kids. if u want his name and number let me know.

I did go and check the letters out and got some good ideas. But my worry is that i really don't have any sick people in my family. The only thing about me is that i am boarderline gestational diabetes, which i got a copy of my medical records for it. Other than that, i really don't have anybody sick that i could say i would take care of. My husband does not have criminal record and has never been deported. I did not have money to get a lawyer and just consulted immigration help groups and did my own research online. Your letter really inspired me to write my own hardship letter. i was literally crying when i was writing it. I also heard that there are people selling Infopass appointments down there. Can you believe that?!!?!?!
