Hi Everyone,
I sent the following email to the US Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. What do you think of their reply? It confused me a little more  My fiance never commited any heinous crimes while he was here, but he did have a number of driving offenses including a DWI. I'm a little worried now because his interview is in a couple of weeks and the only certificate he's been able to obtain is from Honduras. I checked information for obtaining records from when he resided in the US, but they are asking for a notarized letter w/ a copy of DL, SS card, and other items that he nor I have in our possession. I'm thinking he may just go to the interview w/o a cert from the US. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I know we don't have many Honduras filers here, so I'd love to hear how others faired in their respective countries.
My email:
My fiance has an interview scheduled for 07/19/07. I have couple
of questions about getting ready for the interview. The instructions
state to provide a police certificate for any country the applicant has
lived. Does this include the US also? I've been told, and want to
confirm, that a police certificate is not needed for the US, since an
FBI check will occur?
Reply:
1. Yes, it is not necessary if he hasn't commited any crime in the
United States
