What's going on with my K3??

Ok I posted this at VisaJourney but didn't get much response......I think more people here are dealing with CDJ. I called CDJ about two weeks ago, and they said they 'qualified' my K3 on Sept. 19. The guy told me it would be 2-12months before we got an appointment. Today I called again, thinking that maybe they'd be able to tell me we have an appointment, even though we've gotten no mail from them. He said there was no appointment scheduled, and that I should expect to wait 5-8 months! Now I know that CDJ doesn't exactly have a reputation for giving out accurate information, but I admit I'm getting freaked out. First of all, I thought we should've heard from them at this point (our NOA2 was on Aug. 8!), and second of all, I thought the point of a K3 was to get things done quickly! So.......is there anyone who has recently dealt with a K3 through CDJ? How long does it really take, and should I be concerned that we've heard nothing yet? Will they mail us a packet here in Mexico, or just to my address in the US? And when we hear from them, will it just be a request to mail documents in, or will our first letter from them contain the appointment letter? I know it's a lot of questions but I feel kind of alone......it seems like almost everyone else is going the CR-1/IR-1 route. Anyone else going through this, I'd love to hear from you.

Someone who has been through a K3 can post more for you but Laurel's most recent estimate for a K3 appointment date was 4-6 months after approval of the petition.

I am behind you. I sent in I-129f at the begining of august. But by the process time at viasjourney, the last 3 months, the time between N02 and inteview is 98 days. That would make your interview around November 14. So I would hope you would be getting the appointment soon.

I honestly can't remember exactly, I would have to look in my records, but I think it was 6 or 7 months after I-129 approval before my husband had his interview. His interview was April 2007.

Do you remember where she posted that info? I was sure for the longest time that it was only about 3-4 months after approval for the interview, and that is about what the timelines on VJ are showing, so I wonder where she got that number........

One of her more recent chats - based on her experience. I wouldn't exactly trust VJ - their timeline function has some errors, people don't update them and there are probably very few K3s going through CDJ on vJ.
