Hi guys, I'm new to the group and have a few questions that I think someone might have the answers to.

I submitted an I-129F for my finance in Roatan, Honduras in May 2007. I got my approval letter from USCIS on August 18, 2007. My file has gone to the NVC. First question: Is there any way to track it at the NVC? Will they notice me when they receive it or when the send it to Honduras? (I know that was two) lol

Does anyone have interview experience on an I-129F in Honduras? If so, what was the interview process like? What questions did they ask? Will I be allowed in the interview with my fiance? When I called and talked to the US Embassy in Honduras, they told me I can go in with him. Is that true? Did you get a visa the same day or did you have to go back for it? How long had Honduras had the application before it was set for an interview?

I know, I have a ton of questions. I made it through the first part on my own and did it without an attorney. I would just like to know a little bit more about what to expect next.

Thanks for any information you may have.

Welcome!!!

I also filed I129F for my husband. It was approved in Feb. and his visa appointment was in mid August. Once it goes to Tegucigalpa you cannot track it through the NVC. The NVC will send you a letter when it is forwarded to Tegus. We did not get visa because he has to file I-601 and I-212. Not sure if you can get the visa the same day. It was my understanding that you have to come back to pick it up or pay a small fee to have passport w/ visa delivered to his home. You can go with him to the appointment. Since you are not married that will help with the proof of your relationship.

I hope that was helpful.

Hi AndreaM,

I filed an I-129F for a fiance visa earlier this year. My fiance had his interview in July. We are currently waiting for a decision on our I-601 application. Although, I didn't accompany my fiance to the interview, you are allowed to accompany him. You may want to bring a group of photos of you and your fiance together and with family from both sides, if possible. You should receive a letter instructing you of the interview date and required documents. However, I waited for months to receive this information and neither I nor my fiance received anything. I actually had my congresswoman's office contact the Consul for information. The Vice Consul's office gave me an interview date and the list of required documentation. After the letter has been forwarded to Tegu, you may want to contact them in a couple of weeks. I use this email address(TGGCONSIVAPP@STATE.GOV) to contact them and receive a reply within 24 hours.

I am unable to tell you what happens if they approve you at the interview, since we had to file the I-601. Here's a link to the embassy's website that may give you more information: http://honduras.usembassy.gov/english/mission/sections/IV/k1.htm Although, your situation may not be as strenous as most of us, you may want to read the I-601 Honduras thread.

Best wishes through this process.
