Hello all. I'm in Houston with my fiance in Roatan, Honduras. Where should I post some questions I have about my I-129F and the interview process in Tegucigalpa, Honduras?

Thanks Jake. I have been searching this site and am trying to get familiar with it. Hopefully I'll be able to navigate around in no time!

Andrea - will your fiance be needing a waiver? Was he ever unlawfully present in the U.S.?

There are a lot of people who have filed I-129Fs here, but most have also needed a waiver once they had their visa interview. There is a Honduras 601 group now if you want to check out the I-601 All other countries area, look for Corazoncita. I think most of them are already married though. Almost the same process, with a few different forms. Good luck and welcome!!!

No, my fiance has never been to the US. According to what I'm reading here, I'm very glad that he has never been here! He will not need a waiver.

I just need to know what to expect at the US Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

I also need to know if the NVC will notice me when they receive his file or if there is any way to check on it via internet. Also, how long does it take for the file to travel to Honduras, after it has left the NVC?

The problem I'm anticipating is that my fiance lives on an island that has NO mail system. I am going to have to intercept the packet from the US Embassy for him and get it to him.

Thanks for any words of wisdom.
