Did you get approved yet? my husband filed a waiver in India in July 2007. What is your timeline?

i have been through the new delhi they took 6 moths to reply after you submit the waiver. its very hard to get a approval from new delhi.you should have strong and genuine hardship with evidence and also the good presentation of the hardship letter. my waiver was denied by the new delhi than i sent the appeal to washinton DC, with the help of congressman i have got my appeal approved within 3 months. its been 9 months iam in states and got my greencard and everything.

Thanks for the information. When did you orginally submit your waiver? If you don't mind sharing, What were your hardships?

one more question if you don't mind. What type of visa did you have in the states? Why did you have to file a waiver.

My husband was on a C1D (seaman visa). That is why we had to file a waiver.

you should inquire about it since your form was submitted in july 07 and it has passed normal processing time. new delhi's website says to give them 6 months before calling so have you called them?

i had my senator ask a month ago about the status. They have not gotten back to me. I asked my other senator to inquire two weeks ago. I have not heard anything from them either.

Thats sucks...we pay taxes to pay their freaking salaries and they can't do one thing right for us. I contacted a congressman as well and they all just run in circles.

have you try emailing to this address: cis.ndi@dhs.gov

This is CIS department in New Delhi and they are the department who adjucates waivers. Try that and see what they say. Reply and let us know their response
