Sorry just realised I put the letters the wrong way around in the subject and I can't change it!!! Anyways I submitted my waiver packet a couple weeks ago and of course I'm panicking, I hate the waiting! The brief that was submitted by my lawyer was really really awsome and I'm very happy with it, but after reading through some hardship letters on here I'm beginning to think that mine isn't that good! But then again I'm sure if my letter wasn't good Laurel would of advised to make some changes so maybe I'm just getting a little paranoid!! Would you say that they would focus more on the brief than the hsl? What do you guys think?

Well, if Laurel did your waiver package for you I am sure it is the best it can be.

Many of the HSLs posted on here were sent solo with only the documentation attached.

Usually when a lawyer does a waiver package the HSL is just another one of several documents used to prove the brief.

The lawyer writes the brief as a way of explanation for what the hardships are. Then the HSL written by the USC is included with the other documentation as proof of the case.

So when a lawyer does the waiver package it is a bit different than when an individual does it.

Laurel knows what she is doing. That has been shown time and again by folks on this site.

The waiting is the worse part and that is all that you can do wait. I wish you well. Try to think positive thoughts and not to worry.

Thanks for your reply pinkpig. There is no doubt in my mind that Laurel knows what she is doing, I'm extrememly satisfied with her brief and the overall waiver packet....I'll keep you all posted regarding our waiver.

Cheers
Rebecca

Hi Americankiwi (cute name)
Would you mind sharing the brief your lawyer submitted?
I'm in the process of doing this without a lawyer and could use some pointers.
If you don't want to post publically, could you PM me?

Thanks!
NHF

I doubt she's allowed to share it, since it was done by an attorney. I'm not sure, but it seems like that would be a rule? The examples of approved hardship letters seem to be a great guide to getting started! Good luck:)

Sorry for not posting back sooner regarding NHF's post but you're right meesh, not sure if its a rule or not I'm just not comfortable and I'm sure Laurel wouldnt be either about sending someone her brief. Plus, I paid alot of money for it!!
