I remember reading something about a weeklong training or meeting happening for the Waiver people from the Western countries......so they can be faster like the Mexican Pilot Program......any news on that ?

I have news through some attorneys that the pilot program being used in Mexico will be implemented in other countries soon. I'm not sure if it's just the western hemisphere for now-- but I do know that they eventually plan to include every country in the world.

Nobody has really said WHY they had that training meeting in Panama City a couple weeks ago, but I have a feeling it had something to do with the new method for adjudicating waivers more quickly.

I did hear through the grapevine that Honduras would have the new program by next summer... possibly sooner. I'm thinking that may be the case for everyone in our hemisphere, but we will just have to wait and see!! I Google stuff every day to see if I can find any information, but immigration is doing a really good job about keeping it quiet. I'm praying for it every day!!

Very good question! I am curious myself about this very thing. Especially since I am filing thru Panama City currently! Let's hope that the pilot program will become "THE PROGRAM" for all countries.

Wow it would be SO great if we didn't have to wait MONTHS to see if the waivers are approved or denied :innocent: let's keep praying for that

Let's pray- that would be great news!
Edit:
oops didn't notice this post was a year old- I got all excited. Does anyone have any updates on the possibility of implementing the pilot program in Honduras?
