K-1 Visa Question

This question is from someone else... it was emailed to me by a woman from a Honduras Living yahoo group. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! :D

Hello. I would like information on the support forum please. I just got my K-1 visa approved for my fiance who lives in Roatan. They tell me that it's been sent to the NVC for a visa number and then on to Teguc. I would like to know if anything happens at the NVC that I need to do or is it just processing to get a number and then going to Honduras for the interview?

K1s do not stay at the NVC for very long. Basically all they do is assign a the new case number, the first three letters of which refer to the overseas consulate (for example, my hubby's was 'LND' for London).

The next contact they will get on the process is information/next steps from the consulate (which will be sent to her fiance).
