Hi everyone,
I normally post on the waiver forum, but since this has to do with I-130 I was wondering if someone can help me. I filed the I130 for my husband in Nov. 2006. I recieved the receipt notice on nov. 30. I have been waiting and waiting and nothing. So when I check online it states that they are processing the receipt notices of the I130 from Dec 13 2006! I look at my receipt notice and it states that I am processing an I130 for a married son or daughter over 21! How do I fix this mistake? Should I go to the immigration office and tell them or should I write a letter? Someone please give me some input. We are really desperate to fix this situation. thanks....

I am not sure how to fix that you may want to try calling them. Someone might chime in here in if they know more. You can also try asking Laurel Scott Next wednesday on her free chat.

I always call the 1-800# w/questions and they are pretty good about answering simple ones. Anytime that I've ever reported anything via phone I always get a letter about 3 weeks later confirming my request.

I'd try to call. That would be the best option. If you can't get anything resolved over the phone or your questions answered then go to your nearest office, but you should be able to do everything by phone.

I called and they told me that they would fix it and I should be getting a letter within 45 days. The wait is killing and I feel like an idiot for not noticing sooner and wasting all this time. Thank you all for your responses.

latinlaw - I am glad to hear that this will be taken care of atleast. hopefully they will respond sooner than 45 days....and an approval will be right around the corner....
I'm just surprised they didnt 'notice' anything when they went to process it. Surely, based on the date you submitted it - and the dates they were currently working on - they had to have looked at it at some point?!?
At any rate - hope all goes quickly for you from here on out!
