For the last 2 weeks now, Vermont has not moved with their processing dates for the I-130 receipt notices. They are still stuck on 7/29 and California is now processing 8/19. In addition, here is also the latest:
From uscis.gov website:
*California Service Center and Vermont Service Center are currently assisting in data entry of employment-based I-485 and related forms (I-140, I-765, and I-131) received at Texas Service Center between the dates of 7/28 and 8/8. As a result, some applicants may receive receipt notices from a service center different than the one they originally applied to.
I guess our I-130 and I-129 will never be approved at this rate.

#$&^^%$%^#$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
seriously, you should have heard what came out of my mouth a moment ago when i checked the update and saw that in a week, california had processed 2 more weeks' worth of i-130s and vermont hadn't moved a day. california is now nearly a month ahead of vt!
i am really, really getting depressed. it's been almost 45 of the 90 days we're supposed to wait and we're nowhere near close to an NOA, let alone approval. and if it's taking this long for a receipt notice, what's the wait going to be like for i-130 approval out of vt? 1 year? 18 months? 2 years? i knoooowwwww i have no real right to complain since there are people waiting out uscis stuff in much worse situations but seriously. at this rate my husband won't see his family for 3 more years--2010 or worse! and his mom is in ill health and his father is elderly...
groan.

My sentiments exactly. I can only hope that perhaps they will move ahead with our I-129 faster because during the time that he will be waiting for his I-601 to be approved, hopefully by that time the I-130 will be approved. This is what worries me too -- we were trying to beat the possibility of him getting a SSN No-Match letter and it now appears with this backlog that it probably will happen.

You should be happy they are where they are!
When I filed the I130 in Vermont SS it took about a month for them to update at all, and it usually moved about two weeks in that time. I used to check every day and just cryyyyy....
It took AN ENTIRE YEAR for our I-130 to get approve! LOL, kind of insane! They have sped up a ton since then! By the time it was approved my husband had already has his appointment in CDJ with the I129!
Don't worry, pretty soon it'll happen!!

i know, i'm just going to wait it out and try not to complain too much. everyone was telling me we'd get an appointment sometime in 2009 and now i'm afraid it'll be 2010--which just seems so far away!
