What are "in-country" waivers for and when do they apply?

If your husband is found inadmissible when adjusting his status (CIMT, misrepresentation etc) then he will need to apply for a waiver. If he has overstayed his visa and not left the country, you can apply for the waiver in country as opposed to him having to go back to his country and do it from there. There is loads of information on here, or you can get the NOLO press book or the USCIS website. If it's anything complicated, I would suggest looking into hiring a lawyer.
