BIrth Certificate ?

okay were getting ready for hubbys interview Oct 30 in el salvador..
Didnt we allready send in the orignal birthcertificate in a packet? So the NVC should just forward that to EL salvador right? I dont think i have another orginal one... we ordered one just for this purpose because i didnt know where mine was since my mom died...
The one we ordered was short form do you think thats okay? Or should i order a long form one? Its 40 bucks... dont know if i should waste the money ordering another one and rushing it to get here before hubby leaves...

I dont know how El Salvador works. But for example in Ecuador I had to get originals for every single insterview, NVC, and waiver. Thank God in Jerset its only $10.00 per copy.

I dont even know what a long form/short form is they didnt give an option...I ordered mine from California and boy was that expensive $17 each plus shipping I think I paid like $40 for the first one because I was in a hurry (when we were getting married) and then ordered more and paid total like $30 each...yikes!

Unfortunately, just to prevent any mishaps I would at least get one more for the interview and all that, dont want to be held up just for a BC. They might have it, but then again what if they dont. Too many times we see on here that they lose things, misplace them and later find or never find.

well my birth certificate is a long one but i dont know what the difference is...

but i am also confused because i already sent it the original to my birthcertifcate, hubbys, original marriage license with the last packet sent to the NVC...

maybe you should call them and ask them if its necessary...

Marriage certificates you can also get copies of, I have three BC's for me, three for him, and three marriage certificate copies - with the embossed seal. Just paranoid they'll lose something.

Maybe Paige will be able to tell us?

I just order 2 copies figured better to have them then to delay the case there went 42.50 hehe...
SHould have them by next week :)_
