 Let me tell you it is a painful thing to watch and makes you feel helpless.
Fabian, Nathalie, Mom and I took off this morning at 8:45 am for our appointment at Texas Children's Hospital. Fabians x-ray appt was at 9:45am we made it just in time. (traffic stinks btw)
Around 11am, Fabian and I got to go through the doors to the dreaded x-ray event. My mom stayed behind with Nathalie in the waiting room.
We went into the room, the nurse had me change him into a gown, Fabian knew something was going down so he kept clinging to me. I told him if he was a good boy I would buy him a happy meal. He really tried to be good, but he was very scared. So a child specialist came in and brought some toys for him to play with, when they started doing the bad stuff Fabian kept crying and I just kept hugging him telling him it would all be ok. I wanted to cry also, it got worse when he started screaming for his "papi" that's my hubby, and I feel so helpless that I can't find a way for this boy to see him all I can do is let them hear each other. Thanks to immigration, my little brother is missing his only father figure...anyway, he was crying because he was scared, and none of us like to be poked with anything so he was just freaking out, after a few minutes it was all over.
Final diagnosis, his colon is normal, nothing seems wrong with his insides, there was some built up poop in there because he has been constipated, but the doctor said with the fluid that went in, that should help him poop today and clean him out. We are starting the murilax again, and he has to go see the other specialist again sometime this week to follow up. I am very thankful that the process wasnt too long and that there was nothing wrong with his colon, atleast that is out of the way. Thank you for your prayers.
