Hey im new here.

My grandmother (a US citizen) applied for my mother to become a US citizen in 1997...my mother is married and i understand that under this application my father, me and my brother were also beneficiaries.

however i just turned 21 does that mean that i am kicked out of the application?

Hi,
Try a google search for Child Status Protection Act and you should find the information you are looking for regarding 'aging out'.

melodioussilence, I think you're right, when you turn 21 I don't think you fall under your parents' application anymore, I think you would have to get your own. I don't know the full details about this, but I know that one of my friends lived in the US for years on a visa w/ his parents and he went on a vacation to his home country only to find out that when he tried to re-enter, custums wouldn't let him back in b/c he no longer qualified under his parents....so be careful and try to resolve it asap. Goodluck!!
