So I logged into my case status at uscis.gov and for my I-601 waiver the date changed to today (9/21/07). Do you think this means that they are looking at my waiver now??

Can you really check the status of your case from uscis.gov? and what recipt number do you use?

You can sign up for email notification regarding your case. You sign up with your receipt number. When you login to check your status there is a last updated field. Mine changed from 06/03/07 to 09/21/07. I'm hoping this means that some one is looking at it.

VSC waivers can be checked online.

BTW..according to Atty. Laurel Scott who posts on here, VSC is very slow with Montreal waivers currently, with most taking about 12 months.

In addition you can check the status on-line at these two sites for waivers adjudicated in Rome and London:

Rome, Italy:

http://italy.usembassy.gov/dhs/uscis/status/default.asp

London, UK

Sorry but I have two stupid questions:

1- What is the VSC?
2- The only recipt I have is the one from my I-130 and nothing from the I-601 and I-212, should I have a recipet for them as well?

VSC= Vermont Service Center

I am not sure if your consulate will issue a receipt notice. The consulates seem to vary greatly from place to place in regards to how they handle receipts.
