hi I have a question i was caught passing drugs to usa and i was at a facility for over 3 years then when i was released they just took my visa and didn´t say anything else just that if I wanted my visa back i would have to be at another facility for another month besides when this happened i was a teenage so how can i know what is my status to get another visa?

3 year sentence for drug trafficking... sounds like an aggravated felony with a very long ban... perhaps a lifetime ban.

On what grounds are you thinking of applying for a visa? CIMT (Crimes Involving Moral Turptitude) always require a waiver, even if the crime took place when you were a minor and drug & SMUGGLING crimes generally result in lengthy or longterm bans.

What visa are you hoping to qualify for?

well actually I am living in mexico now since I am mexican and I don´t really have a plan to go to usa soon but my husband is a oncopediatrician and he´s applying to go to do some research and I would like to go with him

So just a regular tourist visa?

My guess is that no, you would not be eligible for one. But if you wanted to be sure, you could try to contact one of the attorneys recommended on this site.
