Hi, everyone!
I just became a member and I wish I knew about this site earlier! My husband and I have been going through this immigration ordeal it seems like forever - over 2 years! We were scheduled to have our appointment in May, but I had a high-risk pregnancy and the dr. wouldn't let me travel. They rescheduled the appt. for November 13th. We are working with our lawyer on our I-601 now. I am so nervous. I have heard so many horror stories about Juarez and we are not sure what to expect. My husband had a DUI in 1999 so I am scared our waiver won't get approved. He went to DUI school and it was 8 years ago, so I'm hoping they'll let it slide (I doubt it, though).
I am hoping with the new pilot program for expediting the hardship waivers that they will approve us within a couple days. There I go again with my wishful thinking. I can only hope for the best. Well, nice to meet everyone and I'm sure this won't be the last you hear from me!
