Hello!
I am a SAHM to 2 great kids (3 and 4 months)
My husbands I-130 has been approved and we are awaiting our next packet.
The immigration process is so emotionally draining and I am so happy that my SIL referred me here.
I am at a loss with how much info I have found here in a matter of minutes that is so hard to come by through lawyers.
I would love to find those who are in the same situation as I am and discuss, well, EVERYTHING! I want to feel like I have more control of the situation by having more knowledge.

Welcome Ixtapa (I think we have two Ixtapas now!).

You can find a good overview of the process at the link in my signature that says "Need help? ....."

You will find just about everything you need for this process here - support, information, guidance.

Welcome Ixtapa, I am glad you found this site. I have been on it for less than a week and it has been truly God-sent and I believe an answer to my prayers. I definately feel like I have more knowledge and therefore more control of the situation. What is SAHM? I hope you find what you are looking for here.

Welcome to the forum Ixtapa!! Can I ask the timeline on your I130?? We are still waiting for an approval on ours - going on almost 4 months now....

Alice - SAHM is an acronym for 'stay at home mom'! ;)

I forgot to tell you this site can get addicting. LOL Sometimes you get hope and sometimes you fall in deeper. COL the only thing that will make the not in your stomach go away is having your life back. We are in this thing and their is no turning back but we are here for you. :)

Yes, we have. We just got the last of our info sent to the Visa Center and are now waiting for our interview in Juarez. So I am really interested in the examples of the waivers that are on this site. I have read some and they will be quite helpful when I start writing the waiver for my husband's case. Where are you in the process?

welcome! this site is a life-saver. my new word of the day is "pseudo-lawyer"--and you'll be one soon!

i would also like to see your i-130 timeline. there is a monster backlog now (if it's 90 days for an noa i can only imagine how long it's going to be for an approval) but it'll be good to know.

where in mexico is ixtapa?
