K1 and K3 Visa Fee (CDJ)

Please be advised that you will have to pay the Banamex visa fee TWICE in CDJ. You will pay it once for your K interview and once again for your I-601 Waiver appointment. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up so that you aren't caught off guard. I wouldn't recommend that you pay both fees at your first interview but it might be a good idea to pay it before your Waiver appointment.

No not the waiver fee. Just the visa fee.

It is about $160 U.S.- you pay before your visa appt.
Then you pay another time ($160) after they approve your waiver, before they will give you the visa. I guess that you could pay it before the waiver appt., but if you were backlogged, I'm not sure if they'd make you pay the fee a third time.

And yes, they don't tell you to pay again, until you try to pick up the visa and then you have to run around and pay it quick.
