I am up to my eyeballs in tomatoes!!.and it's my fault:shy:..you see I argued with hubby that I wanted to grow a few different types this year..so out of my 4 plants (I usually only have 2 )..I am scrambling to give them away..or use them all I can..now the grape tomatoes my little ones love to eat..but my beefsteak and romas..I was thinking:

Blanche them and then peel..then throw them in a blender with a bit of onion and garlic..then freeze...would this work?..any suggestions?..thanks :cheerful:

You can literally just cut the top off, freeze them on a cookie sheet, and then bag them. When you are cooking soup, defrost them and squeeze them in your stock.

Cool..I was thinking to freeze them whole..I make tons of soup in the winter..so that will work for me...why gracias!

takes up freezer room, but you just squeeze them and they pop right out of their skins.
