Today I heard Congressman Sylvestre Reyes speak on a radio talk show about how Comprehensive Immigration Reform is one issue that will be at the top of the list for the Democratic Party. I have faith that Obama's Administrtion will do something about this, unlike McCain who was for CIR and then decided to let his fellow GOP members influence him into changing his mind. I don't believe McCain will do anything, just look at what is going on in Arizona with our raza.

I think both Obama and McCain have discussed this key issue in important speeches during the campaign. Obama talked about it at is DNC acceptance speech tonight. The country is conflicted over the issue, with the majority of the country wanting neither relief nor mass deportations, which leaves it as a no-win issue. So, while both candidates will mention its importance, I don't think either wants to talk about how to resolve it exactly.

But even if a candidate theoretically didn't want to address it during office once elected, I think the matter is unavoidable.
