I got this question on my page today. I want to make sure I am giving the right answer to this question, so I am posting here so that Canadian filers may chime in.

"I have a question. My I 601,212 Fees money orders were cashed in jun,2008.(i checked with canada post office). This means that money orders were cashed by vermont not by u.s consulate montreal right .we hav"nt rcvd any receipt or acknowledment from vermont
we login our account every day on u.s imm website nothing there."

I think that Canadian waivers are adjudicated at the Vermont Service Center. I do not think that they send any receipt for the fees associated with the waiver filing as most filers usually pay in person at the US consulate in Montreal.

I do not think there is anyway to check the status of your waivers while they are at the Vermont Service Center.

I think this is one of the slower precessing center for waivers. I do not think that they are user friendly.

Montreal usually cashes payment then forwards it to Vermont. It takes a month from the time they sumbit it at Montreal to get transferred to Vermont.

I believe all Canadian waivers are processed through Vermont!!! They are EXTREMELY slow and the Montreal Consulate is NOT user friendly either.

I do know that Vermont does send out recite notices when they have the waivers entered into their system. We paid for and submitted the two waivers at our interview Jan. 17, 2008 via the Montreal Consulate. They money was taken right there and then. It took Montreal over 1 month to get the waivers sent off to Vermont. I know they received them in February due to senator inquire. The last we heard anything was April 2008 when we were sent our two recite notices with numbers to track our case.

We follow our case online too and NOTHING has happened to either of them since April. We are hoping and praying we will hear something soon, but I know we most likely will not till next year. Its such a long hard process that I truly do not understand. If this was any of the officers families I believe they would not have to wait like this.....its just crazy to me.

Thankyou Pinkpig for your reply.
When I was interviewd in montreal Feb,2008 .My attorney only gave me I 601 to file as he told me that I only have over six months over stayed and thats all i need ,but in my interview the consulr ask me to file I 212 and I 601 both .She ask me to send both waivers by fed-ex with fees.So in march 2008 the u.s montreal rcvd waivers with fees .
Money orders were cashed in jun,2008.So I think my case is in vermont and cashed in by vermont.
Thankyou for you time.
